Focus on innovations: nominations Innovation Award

Ten new products are candidates to win this year's Horti Fair Innovation Award, for which they have been nominated by the international jury of experts. The Innovation Award (in partnership with Reed Business) is the most important component of the Horti Fair's innovation programme. The prize is won every year by the most promising new product being introduced at the Horti Fair.

The international jury of experts assessed all registrations at the end of August and nominated ten front runners from among the approximately one hundred new products and services that can also be seen on the website at www.hortifair.com:

On the first day of the Horti Fair the winner of the prestigious Innovation Award will be announced.

Pavilion in the picture: Technical Trials

Technical Trials is a new pavilion at the Horti Fair based on an alliance between leading technical producers. It was set up to offer international entrepreneurs in horticulture a complete impression of Dutch horticultural technology within a short period of time, by means of inspiring company visits within a central region. The participants "Central Station" is the pick-up point at the Horti Fair, where visitors to the exhibition receive information from and about the companies taking part.

"Technical Trials is also right in line with the ideas for organizing a Holland HortiWeek annually in November as from 2011," predict the initiators as they look ahead to next year, when the Horti Fair will again be held in November. The initiative for the Technical Trials 2010 has been well received, judging from the current group of participants with Leen Huisman, FormFlex, Metazet, WPS Horti Systems, Berg Product, Priva, De Gier Drive Systems, Glass Handling Technic, Van der Knaap Groep, Visser, Improvement Centre, Flier Systems, Beekenkamp Verpakkingen, Frans van Zaal Totaal Techniek and Demokwekerij Westland.

Horti Fair tip: take the Horti Fair shuttles

The Horti Fair shuttle service is also interesting for visitors from abroad. Many of our international guests combine their visit to the Horti Fair with the open door days of our exhibitors.

Daily shuttles travel between horticultural areas in the Netherlands and the Horti Fair to transport trade visitors efficiently, comfortably and quickly. It is not necessary to register for these.

TIP: check this service shortly before your planned visit, since extra shuttles may have been put on.
